I never liked him,

It was pay day and he went,

He was young, like me,

Someone found him there,

I heard there were no windows,

One small room, alone,

We are all like him,

Just living for the weekend,

Let’s stop pretending,

He waited all week,

Like so many of us do,

For a pay day fix,

Next door neighbor boy,

He could have been anyone,

He died on pay day.
